Wylie shelter to Kent, CT

We got up this morning and were on the trail by around 8. I feel like Ginna got a pretty good taste of lots of different types of trail today. Good trail, tough trail, rocks, climbing up, climbing down, good views, and at the very end....  a little trail magic in the form of a cooler at the road we were stopping at.
We crossed out of NY and into CT. A few times actually as we straddled the border.
We got into Kent and quickly showered and went to watch the Germany/Algeria soccer game with some of the crew.
Got a package from home loaded with goodies!! Yum!
After dinner, 50/50, Murphy, Mambo, Ginna and I sat outside and talked and laughed. Great end to the day.
So many really good people here. If you want to meet really interesting, smart, funny, kind, caring, active, good people... go hike. The trails are loaded with them.
Tomorrow... Ginna heads back to the Big D and we hike on to.... the USA/Belgium soccer game in Cornwall Bridge, CT.

Ps- Referencing back to the end of yesterday's post.... we did our laundry without incident today.

  2. Had an awesome time on the trail and am so glad to have been able to experience just a little. 18 miles out of more than 2000, but it was great!
