Carvers Gap to Overmountain Shelter

Slept great last night in Johnson City! Al's other daughter, Emily joined the party today. Great girls! We ate a big breakfast, resupplied and got out on the trail late afternoon, so we made it a short day. Overmountain Shelter is a really cool old renovated barn set in a valley. Space for lots of hikers and it was packed! Opted for my tent close by. (Shocker :)
It also had a pretty unique privy. Absolutely no privacy, but it sat sort of like a throne overlooking the valley.
It rained a little overnight, but it was really a peaceful spot.
Below are Bubba and 19, two hikers I keep leapfrogging with. Good guys.
