Happy Birthday/Anniversary

Happy birthday Emily! And happy 60th anniversary to my parents!!  Love you all!
I got the best nights sleep I've had out here so far last night, despite ....the snorer. Wow. Pretty much all night. Every breath. And I've learned, you can never beat the snorer to sleep. Before the zipper is even closed on their tent... The buzz saw starts up. Oh well. One of the hazards out here :)
My body is starting to remember this hiking routine and isn't rebelling so much.  It rained most of the night and was still drizzling as we took down our tents.
The forecast called for cool rain all day and it didn't disappoint. It's the kind of day that you just pack up your gear, throw on your pack, put your head down and start walking. Only one way to get where we're going. And once I'm moving, it feels good again.
Here's Murphy and Movin On.  Even on a gloomy day like today, there are some amazing views.
We got in good miles early and got to where we had planned to camp at about 3:30. We considered going a few more miles, but from the maps it didn't look like there were a lot of tenting options for a long ways and the sun broke out for about 30 minutes so we took advantage of it and got our tents up before the rain started up again. Tucked in early and letting our feet rest. Chris, Alex and Melissa are all here tonight too. (Haven't acquired trail names yet)
Here's an example of the deep thoughts we have out here ...
It's raining hard here tonight. It gives you a new appreciation for what dogs go through when they have to go to the bathroom. Just sayin.
