Drought? What drought?

After two nights and days of rain (and five days with no shower or laundry! Ewww) woke up this morning with a puddle in my tent after a full night of rain. We decided to try for Julian today so we could clean up. Amazing what a motivator a shower can be! The bad news about rain...wet tents are heavy. The good news about rain...the wild flowers are blooming. So, today we took lots of pics of all the beautiful flowers and flowering cactus. ( be thankful that it's wildflower day, because coming soon, will be scat day. So many different kinds and I want to know who they belong too)
When we got to road we knew it was going to be a four mile hitch to get to the Stagecoach RV park where there were showers and laundry available. But....bonus...where the road crossed the highway, we met Ed, a retired rancher from San Diego who stops by occasionally to transport hikers.
Several of us jumped in. Ed kindly commented that we didn't even stink yet. Oh Ed...we didn't believe you for a second but a nice gesture.  As everything I have is wet and dirty, it was back to the rain gear for laundry day (looks a little like prison garb)
Now, I am clean and dry. My view tonight...not too shabby.

  1. Not quite as stylish as your Tim Gunn approved trash bag skirt, but OK

  2. Completely agree with Ginna. Eagerly anticipating trash bag skirt day. As well as scat day.... 😉

  3. Wait till it's 100 degrees and you wear that for laundry day!
