Chairback Gap to Logan Brook Lean-to

Woke up this morning to the sun beaming in to my tent. Beyond happy!!! What a game changer!!
We got on the trail pretty early, with the last big mountain climb ahead of us. After two solid days of soaking wet feet, I decided it was time for a change. I took out my insoles last night and they were much drier this morning. Put on some fresh, dry socks. Really pampering myself today! We came to today's stream ford at about 4 miles in, so I stopped and took out my insoles and took off my socks and waded across with just my shoes. Worked great! My feet were relatively dry all day!!!!!  It's been about a week since that happened.
We came to the 2100 mile mark. So hard to believe!!
We've been gearing up for this last big day of climbing. Looked big on paper. Four mountain peaks. I feel like yesterday was our last big test before Katahdin. The trail threw everything it had at us yesterday. Rain, cold, slippery, steep climbs. Maine eased up on us today. Lots of walkable trail, climbs that were pretty darn easy. And warm sunshine. Good day on the trail.
And the coolest thing of all, when we summitted the last peak today..... we got a great view of the big gal. Mount Katahdin.
It was pretty emotional. We've walked a long way to see her. Lots of hootin' and hollerin' up on White Cap Mountain today.
