Hemlock Shelter to Tom Leonard shelter

It was so great to be in the shelter out of the rain last night, but..... we were in the shelter with the absolute loudest snorer in the history of man. And snorers always fall asleep first. The volume and consistency was unprecedented! Needless to say, not my most restful night and it reinforced why I love my tent!!
But anyway, on the positive side... what a difference a day makes!! Sun was shining and temps were perfect today. The trail started out a little stream-like, but soon dried out for the most part. We got some good views
and many miles of 'walkable' trail. The last few days there have been a lot more rocks scrambles than walking, and although those are fun, it was nice to be able to just walk today. We didn't have to rush to get in our miles, so we stopped and ate lunch and then while some slept..
Some played...
Close to the end of the day, we came to a really great overlook and we took some time to dry socks and shoes from yesterday's downpour.
Then we hiked a few more miles and pitched our tents right by another great overlook. Ended the day with a beautiful sunset.
