Road walk

Woke up this morning in the Manzanita forest. Slept great but heard lots of interesting animals stomping around during the night. No idea what they all were. Terry Anderson at Casa de Luna fixed pancakes for all before we hiked out. She takes everyone's photos that come through before they leavd. Here's ours...
Yes, this is what it looks like when someone moons you right as the photo is taken. Caught us totally off guard. #cannotunseeit
Starting here is another trail closure so most (and by most, I mean everyone else we saw today) hitched past it. It was about a 15 mile road walk, which quite honestly is not that great, but since it is a sanctioned reroute and part of the PCT, we did it.
Hiked past a house that had a cooler out with cold sodas for hikers and this message which I thought was pretty cool.
Hiked past Lake Elizabeth, another extremely dry lake.
And we are spending the night at the Rock Inn in Lake Hughes. A very historic old inn/bar/restaurant that was built in the 1920's.
Tomorrow, we are back on the actual trail which will be fantastic.
