Lots of flatness....

Got up early and hit the trail (and by 'trail' I mean basically 20 miles of LA Aquaduct and wind farms)
It was a whole lot of this today. And then a whole lot of
Marsha was out here for a tough, not especially beautiful day. Hiking for miles and miles in flat openness, it just doesn't seem like you are making progress.
But we did see this beautiful black horse running across the desert

Fortunately it was a little overcast and cool. This could be brutal on a hot, sunny day.
Walked past a lot of Joshua Trees today which are really interesting.
They picked a heckuva spot for this wind farm because it was WINDY!!!

We did a good long day, and picked our camping spot for the night based on the wind factor. We are down in a gulley behind a bush basically, protected from the wind.
We have some climbing ahead tomorrow, and it will be nice to get back in the mountains!
